I needed a black dress for a wedding I'm attending and had purchased one at Belk a few weeks ago, but really wanted to take it back because I knew it wasn't something I'd want to wear again. I've never purchased any clothing so expensive online that I couldn't take back to the store (meaning I'd have to mail it back if it didn't fit). I was really nervous.Luckily, my gamble paid off! I am 5'1 and wear 18/20 in dresses usually. I purchased size 20 to be on the safe side, figuring it was better to be a little loose then too tight, and I'm very glad I did. The dress itself is loose fitting but the lining is 100% fitted. When I walk around the lining moves up a little (because of the girdle--it is a wedding, you know!) but it doesn't create bulges and is pretty easy to slide back down. It's not bad enough to delete a star.The dress hangs a little past my knees, which I love since it's more classy being that length than above the knee like the Belk dress. The vertical lines are muted but give a little decoration to the dress and are flattering. The neckline is high but not choking (perfect for my string of pearls) and looks great with heels.If you're on the fence, don't be. This dress would look fantastic on any figure.
