Several years ago, I had a red wool coat that I loved. I wanted to find one similar and thought this would be close. It arrived and I tried it on immediately. The first thing you notice is the wrinkles! Other reviews commented on them, but it is important that you understand—they don’t come out! And, the way the wrinkles cause the fabric to hang causes the coat to be “odd.” I finally had to iron the coat just so I could decide whether or not to keep it. I have never had to iron a wool coat before and I was worried. The iron did nothing! The wrinkles are still there laughing at me. I used a seam ripper to open the lining to remove the giant shoulder pads. I don’t know if that was good or not. The coat was made with an extra “bump” in the shoulder to accommodate the giant shoulder pads. Or maybe those are just more wrinkles!? The material is not a fine wool. It feels more like a felt or flannel. The cheaper fabric prevents the coat from laying right. Did I keep it? Yes, because I love the color, length, and I guess you can say it fits. The price wasn’t bad. However, I am still looking for a NICE red coat because this one isn’t the one. This is a very nice coat, nicely tailored, soft fabric, maybe a little light for winter. I know WW clothes are on the large side, but have been happy for the most part with other 1X clothes. However, the shoulders of this coat were very roomy, and sort of stuck out. I thought about inserting raglan-style shoulder pads, but decided not to detach the lining to do so. And...if that fix wasn't successful, I would not be able to return the coat. This is a good fit for a person with proportionally larger hips and stomach. I did return the coat.Nice looking coat, fabric is good but....The shoulders are small, hard to move arms forward and the A-line is AAA-line, it is huge. If you carry your weight in your middle this coat will be great for you. Not sure if I will keep this yet. I normally take the shoulder pads out and it will help with size in this coat and I can make this much smaller in the middle and add a zipper (I don't like butons) but I'm just not into having to do a lot of reconstructing things that cost this much. It is hard to find raglan sleeves and this color of red. Still on the fence if I will keep it.The coat is roomy around and I'm grateful for that, but it came terribly wrinkled and I had to buy a steamer to get the wrinkles out. Then after one wearing, it is wrinkled all over again. It's also not very warm and the quality of the fabric is not what I would expect for over $80!!The fit was fine except for the upper sleeves. As other reviews stated, the upper arms are too tight, and my upper arms aren't big! Can't wear a sweater or sweatshirt under those sleeves. Returned this coat.I am 5’6”. 215 lbs. I bought this in a 20. I typically wear an 18. The ‘wool’ is cheap but looks okay. It’s soft, warm, and somewhat uncomfortable!!! The top of the arms and across the bust is very snug. It barely buttons.I’m a 44D bra. I’m going to cut the lining out of it to make it more comfortable. Also, the arms are on the shorter side. My husband likes the coat on me so I’ll keep it but the sizing is definitely off. The rest of the coat looks nice. I put a large modern colorful brooch on the collar to brighten it up. I leave the top few buttons undone and also wear a scarf! So basically, I’m making the coat work for me. The price was okay so I will keep it.I ordered the navy coat but the buttons dont match the coat thy are brown so i subtracted a star because it is not as picturedThis was just a great buy. It fits well, is very warm (temps have been hitting the teens lately), and looks good. Hoping to wear this for many winters.
