This stunning shawl collar wool wrap coat adds a touch of femininity to any daytime or nighttime look. You can tie the belt to create a flattering cinched waist.
At first I truly struggled with this coat...I agree with others that the shawl/hood is too tight if you have it pulled down to appear flat. However if you bunch it up more like a cowl neck, it fits fine. It may look too sloppy for some... But it's cozy.I'm 6' tall with broad shoulders and big frame...38D...super long arms.... 16/18 but want to layer sweaters so got a 2x.This is my goto jacket when I want a hood for wind or cold mist/snow... The hood is REALLY nice and deep .. Even when with a pony tail. The sleeves are wide enough for bulky sweaters underneath...and long enough, even for my octopus arms.At first it's awkward, and yes the pockets do end up over your stomach ... Kinda similar to a hoodie-sweatshirt which has a pouch in front, not sides. But I wrap it high and tight, tie the belt as high as comfortable, and bunch the hood around my neck like a giant cowl-turtleneck.The material is nice... Soft and well made. It's quality... But fits a bit oddly because the hood is so huge. My purse wants to slide off my shoulder... But I'm keeping the jacket now that I know how to make it work. It's warm, soft, comfortable, and keeps the wind off my neck. I love the cranberry color. It fits amazing with the hood up; I suspect that's how it's meant to be worn.Overall I love it... Although it requires a bit a rearranging ... It's worth it to me.I think this coat is all about the styling.I had been thinking of getting a shawl-collar coat for a while, but didn't really find one I liked until I happened upon this one. I will say that the color is more of a muted cranberry, which I am pleased about. Red is a difficult color for red heads to pull off! The quality seems really lovely, although one of my belt loops was unraveling. They seem delicate, so I may replace them with ribbon at some point anyway. The whole coat is lined and the weight is substantial so it's lovely and warm. I wasn't sure what size to order because the size chart online did not seem to really be applicable. I Googled around and found a better size chart on another website to help my decision.I think the coat looks best with the collar up on the shoulders rather than folded down. I doubt I will ever wear the collar as a hood, but it's a good option in case I'm caught without a head covering some day :) My pictures aren't great (it's hard to take pictures of yourself!), but hopefully they can provide an example of the styling I like and have had success with so that others will be encouraged to make this purchase.Great, heavy felt-like fabric. I am a small-framed plus size (smaller shoulders and a 1 or 0X size). The top part fit fine on my smaller shoulders, even over a light sweater and long sleeve shirt. Yes, the navy lining is a little visible on the front of one shoulder, but I'm still happy with the coat. It's very flattering, and I think it runs a little large. If you like a cinched look around your waist and have narrow shoulders, order a size down. I ordered my normal size (1X), and when I cinch the coat, there is a ton of overlap.Overall, I love this coat and I'm thrilled with the look for the price. As I saw the review I noticed that a few rated the coat too small on top. Since I have a larger bust than the rest of my body I got a 1x rather than the XL as recommend by the retailer. Turn out the top section fit just right as I can wear any type of clothing under without worrying that my bust area might be too thigh. The only iffy portion of it is the waist is too big. Therefore the pocket does not aligned properly. Because it is a wrap without any ziper or button I have decided to sew it shut. Now it fit perfectly!Love the coat! I think it runs true to size. Others said it runs small, so I ordered a 2 sizes up, thinking I'll need it for my arms with thick sweaters, but it's almost like a bathrobe lol. I do love it, I don't plan on exchanging it either. I don't really mind that it's big, it just makes the hood look that much more dramatic! Great color too by the way. It looks EXACTLY like the picture. Go with you gut on sizing, don't really pay attention to anyone else's complaints.Stylish, warm, lightweight ,Beautiful Burgandy color, wool coat. Immediately got compliments when I modeled it. Sleeves are shorter for a taller person ,I am 6' tall and I purchased a size 22. The coat is 3/4 style not as long as I expected, but there is ample room in the waist. I am pleased but it did have a distinct dyed smell when it came out of the plastic and it stained the plastic it was wrapped in. I sent it to the cleaners. Enjoy. Hope this helps. ;-)I had saw this coat on a web site for a major department store, and it sold for over $400. When I saw it on Amazon at such a great buy, I had to have. Love the coat but the collar take some getting use to. I have found that if I pull the collar up some and not having it pulled to far down, it looks and feels better. Can't wait until it gets cold enough to wear it.I know the brand and I wanted to like this coat. The fabric and construction are good quality. I bought my usual size and I don't believe it fits me properly. The next size might fit better or might be way too big. It is awkward to fasten the coat because the very wide collar that becomes a hood is constricting around the shoulders and when the coat is closed a lot of adjustments need to be made to make the coat fall like it does in the picture. Maybe if I had a dresser and only needed to walk up and down a runway it would look good. The color is not "Country Apple". It's a muddy burgundy that is not flattering. I don't want to order the black and I don't like this color so I guess I'm getting a refund :(I love this coat. While the fit around the body is a little larger in proportion to the shoulders its such a flattering fit. I just pull it tightly around and tie the belt high. I've had many compliments already. Its the perfect warmth for cold fall days and will likely be warm enough for a little colder but I expect to need my heavier coat on the cold Canadian winter days to come.I've had no problems with pilling or balling of the fabric and no bleeding of colour that someone else mentioned.I reallly wanted to keep this coat as I love the style of it but was disappointed when it arrived. First, it was thinner than expected, no way it would get me through a cold Alberta winter. Second, there was so much excess dye that it turned my hands black just from putting it on once! I would have had to get it dry cleaned which is disappointing after spending so much on it already. Third, the loop used to hang the coat on a hook came apart as soon as I touched it. The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because of the style and it fit as promised. I would not recommend it otherwise.Lovely colour, just as pictured. Nice merlot colour. Looks attractive, collar can be shawl style or brought into a hood. Cozy for fall and not-too-cold winter days. Finally found the coat of my dreams. Coats usually do not fit me well but this one is perfect. I have purchased from this brand before and love the quality, the fabrics and the fit.The quality and cut of this jacket is great. Unfortunately the size is too large so I had to return it.
